Abstract Drawing and Painting
An introduction to working with contemporary abstract principles using
acrylic and latex paint. Explore color, texture, composition and painting
techniques and adapt to your own interests and style. Examine artists
and movements of the 20th century, and current contemporary painting,
to gain historical and theoretical knowledge to inform your own painting

Collage Painting
19th century cubist artists introduced collage to create
unique works of art with found objects. Collage has been utilized by Dada
and modern artists to create art work that respond to personal and societal
issues. In this class you will learn the art of collage and how to layer
and juxtapose images, found objects, and paints on a flat surface and to
create three-dimensional assemblages. This is a good class for entry level
to professional artists.
